Paju Energy Service is an independent power producer that operates the state-of-the-art combined power generation facilities with a capacity of 1,800 MW on a site of approximately 60,000 pyeong (i.e., approximately 190,000 ㎡) located in Huam-ro, Paju-eup, Paju-si, Gyeonggi-do. The facilities are capable of stably supplying electricity to approximately 600,000 households and industries in northern Gyeonggi Province.
Paju Energy Service has purchased directly imported LNG from Boryeong LNG Terminal and has been operating highly efficient combined power generation facilities that emit very little fine dust compared to coal power generation since it uses natural gas.
As the CEO of Paju Energy Service, I have dedicated not only to stably produce electricity, which is the foundation of the national economy, but also to become a company loved by the local community of Paju where the company is based. To put it in another way, it is aimed to go beyond complying with laws related to environment, safety, and health by pursuing ESG management and to develop a top-notch LNG power plant in Korea. Adding to this, I will take the lead in contemplating and resolving the pain points of the local community together with the community.
As a first step, an ecological park will be built around the power plant site and the Munsan Stream nearby so that it can be a shelter for residents. Over and above that, I will identify and implement a variety of programs aimed for mutual development with the local community in the fields of welfare, education, scholarship, industry-university cooperation, etc. by the cooperation of our members along with the local government and associations.
