SK E&S Signs MOU with Korea Midland Power and Pochoen Power for Cooperation in Power Plant Operation

SK E&S announced that it signed the memorandum of understanding or MOU with Korea Midland Power and Pochoen Power for cooperation in operation and maintenance areas of power plants at SK Seorin building on October 15.

The MOU will allow them to share main equipment spares and special tools for power plants as well as technologies and information, thereby creating synergy in terms of reliability and safety for power generation facilities.

This strategic partnership will serve as a great opportunity to bring the electricity industry, one of key industries in Korea, to the next level. SK E&S has constructed and is operating a number of power plants; Korea Midland Power has accumulated valuable experiences in power plant operations; Pochoen Power has started to operate new power plants in a stable manner.

“It is necessary to enhance competitiveness via cooperation among plant operators to survive in a rapidly changing electricity business environment. We truly hope that the trilateral cooperation will be sustained and lead to meaningful results,” said Lee Wan Jae, Head of electricity business division in SK E&S.
